We're good at?

immodesty, apparently

For the sake of those of you interested in distinguishing us from the other 10,000 firms that do more or less what we do, we'll give it a go. Here are some of the things we think we do better than others.

Health Care

We've been in the thick of health care marketing since day one. For a number of years, we provided Regence BlueCross & BlueShield with marketing support. In recent years, we've been a partner (at least we hope they see it that way) with Swedish Medical Center, Seattle's largest health system. Going further back, we've assisted companies on both sides of the health care equation from Providence Heart Institute to Secure Horizons to IDX/GE Medical Systems. By now we've touched on all parts of health care marketing, including physician-to-physician, direct-to-consumer, and philanthropic marketing.

Transportation & Logistics

We first dipped a toe into the world of logistics back when we were named the agency for PACCAR Leasing Company, and then PACCAR's flagship brand, Kenworth Trucks. Next, we added the Port of Seattle to the mix (they're the people who run the airport and seaport), and then did some serious project work for DHL, the huge international freight company. So, yes, we know what LTL and Class 8 and ICC Authority all mean.

Real Estate/Communities

Our experience here isn't broad, but it certainly is deep. For the past several years we've assisted Vulcan Real Estate as they've moved the South Lake Union area in Seattle from a vision to a vibrant community. We've handled condo and apartment marketing, but the bulk of our work has been in building awareness and identity for South Lake Union as a whole. It's been interesting to help shape not just a location or two, but an entire neighborhood of the city.

Complex Organizations

Is this a curse or a blessing? Hard to say, but we've had good luck over the years working with large, hierarchical, process-oriented organizations. OK, yes, we'll say it: bureaucracies. We seem to have the right combination of tact, patience, and presentation skills to bring along all the stakeholders who get to throw in their two cents in these large organizations. Regence BlueCross & BlueShield, Swedish Medical Center, the Port of Seattle, and the Washington Lottery are all examples of organizations where we've had good success in the trenches and in the board rooms.
